At the heart of every trip to Victoria Falls is, of course, a visit to the rainforest which offers spectacular views of the mighty Victoria Falls or “Mosi-oa-Tunya” (The Smoke That Thunders). Stop off at 15 impressive viewpoints along the way, and keep your eyes peeled for an array of small wild animals such as baboons and buck – you are guaranteed an experience of a lifetime! The rainforest is a mere 25-minute stroll or 3-minute drive from Victoria Falls Restcamp and Lodges and should be your first activity when visiting the town. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, pack your ID document or passport and don’t forget a raincoat, umbrella or a plastic bag to keep your valuables dry. These can be rented from the curio shop as you enter the rainforest.
Another must-see is the iconic 113-year-old Victoria Falls Bridge that links Zimbabwe and Zambia – a time enduring feat of Victorian engineering. The bridge offers 360-degree views of the Batoka Gorge, the spray from The Falls as well as views of adrenaline activities taking place on the bridge, such a bungee jumping, gorge swinging and a host of others exciting activities. A historic bridge tour is also available here, taking you through the construction and planning of this impressive structure. This also includes a walking tour that takes you underneath the metal structure. Speak to our in-house activities booking staff to find out more and to book your bucket list experience!

Taking to the skies and viewing the breath-taking Victoria Falls from above is one of the most awe-inspiring and sought-after activities in Victoria Falls. The most popular and highly recommended option is called the “Flight of Angels” – a term originally used by David Livingstone when he first wrote about the area surrounding the Falls. He described this as “…scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”. This tour offers a scenic helicopter ride over the Natural World Wonder, with sweeping views of both Zambia and Zimbabwe. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you could also embark on a 15 or 30-minute microlight flight to really feel the wind in your hair as well as the spray from the mighty Falls!
